Expression of Zn transporter mRNA is positively regulated by estrogen in normal breast cells (HC11). mRNA expression was measured by real-time PCR in cells treated with estrogen for 24 h and compared with untreated cells. Expression of Zip1, Zip6, Zip8 and Zip10 were elevated three- to sixfold relative to untreated cells.
