When indicated cells have been pre-treated (30 min) with the AKT inhibitor (10−6M). Data represent the mean ± SD of five experiments. P < 0.001 was calculated with ANOVA followed by Tukey–Kramer post test with respect to vehicle-treated samples (asterisk) or to E2-treated samples (open circle)
