  1. Microarray data indicated individual candidate genes that might be important for intestinal glucose metabolism during high glucose consumption. High glucose treatment significantly induced TXNIP and LCN15 mRNA expression levels relative to the control group while ABCA1 and IRX3 mRNA levels were downregulated in the high glucose-treated group. Statistical significance was determined by Student’s t test. Values are expressed as the mean ± SD; n = 3 independent experiments with three technical replicates
