  1. Genomic DNA isolated from epididymal fat was analyzed for the methylation of CpG sites at the indicated positions in the promoters of adiponectin and resistin genes spanning nucleotides -1162 to -494 and -1450 to -113 respectively, relative to the TSS. The methylation fraction was calculated from the amplitude of cytosine and thymine within each CpG dinucleotide, C/(C+T)*100. The result for each CpG site is represented as the means ± SD. n = 10 in each group
