Toe joints inflammatory cells in CAIA and CAIA + SRL mice. Sections were prepared from toe joints of mice on days 7 and 14 after LPS injection. The sections were stained with Mayer’s hematoxylin and eosin (HE) (a). Histological scores for inflammatory cell infiltration were graded as follows: 0 = within normal limits; 1 = slight infiltration; 2 = mild infiltration; 3 = severe infiltration (b).
